take x as the common variable between the ratios and it is equal to 56.
Equate and solve it and you will get the answer as 15

First method-

Water content in the original mixture =56×(27)=56×(27) =16=16 litres

Let xx litre of water be added to get the required ratio

16+x56+x=54+516+x56+x=54+5

144+9x144+9x =280+5x=280+5x

4x=1364x=136

x=34x=34 litres

Second method-

Initially the mixture is 7 parts. The final mixture can be understood of 9 parts, although
the parts will become different size.

Simple two-part mixture problem.
