ph plays very important role in our life ..
ph change cause tooth decay- we eat many things while we eat them some amount of starch breaks into sugar and this sugar below down our mouth's ph . our tooth decay starts when our mouth's ph is become less than 5.5 .in order to neutralize the effect of acid (we apply toothpaste to our teeth with the help of tooth brush^_^)

ph in our digestive system - some time due to over eating our stomach releases high amount of hcl which causes irritation and acidity in our stomach .
to neutralize it's effect we consume antacid (lyk milk of magnesia , baking soda,etc) .

ph in aquatic life - some times due to acid rain rivers and ponds water become acidic and harms aquatic life . to neutralize it's effect calcium oxide is put in water with the help of aeroplane^_^. cao (calcium oxide react with water and forms ca(oh)2 ( calcium hydroxide which is a base and this calcium hydroxide neutralize. effect of acid rain..

ph of soil- some crops grows well in acidic soil and some in basic . if our soil is acidic due to acid rain then we use calcium oxide in it . but if it is basic then we use fertilizer, etc..

ph as self defense- some insects use ph as self defence lyk- honey bee have acid in their sting so we apply mild or weak base over it to neutralize it's effect such as baking soda . wasp has base in their sting so we apply mild acid over it such as vinegar to neutralize it's effect..
