Question:-

  • A metallic sphere of radius 4.2 cm is melted and recast into the shape of a cylinder of radius 6 cm. Find the height of the cylinder?

Answer is

_________

Step by step explanation:-

Given :-

  • Radius of sphere that is 4.2 cm
  • Radius of cylinder that is 6 cm

To find :- Hight of cylinder

We know that :-

volume \: of \: sphere \:  =  \frac{4}{3} \pi {r}^{3}

.•. Radius = 4. 2 cm

⇒ \frac{4}{3}  \times  \frac{22}{7}  \times 4.2 \times 4.2 \times 4.2 \\  \\ ⇒310.46 {cm}^{2}

We know that

volume \: of \: cylinder \:  = \pi {r}^{2} h

.•. Radius = 6cm

⇒ \frac{22}{7}  \times 6 \times 6 \times h

Then

Volume of sphere = volume of cylinder

⇒ \: 310.46 =  \frac{22}{7}  \times 36 \times h
