I never say, " I can't do that'. ' I just say I haven't worked it out yet." How do you differentiate these two ways of answering?

Answer:

"I cant do that" means that the person isn't planning on doing/trying to do it, "I haven't worked it out yet" means that the person is planning on doing it but haven't figured out how to yet.
