∠ADE = ∠ABC so,BC||DE( Bcz BD is acting like Transversal and ∠ADE = ∠ABC )

△ADE∼△ABC

 \frac{AD}{AB}  =  \frac{AE}{AC}  \\   \frac{3}{8}  =  \frac{4}{x}  \\ 3x = 8 \times 4 \\ x = \frac{32}{3}

therefore AC=32/3
