I can think of two conditions which satisfies the questions:

Explanation:

  • Perhaps you were  standing before a wall nine feet apart as the ball bounces and it reaches the wall and returns to you under the third Law of motion of Newton! Or you have thrown the ball vertically in the air above you & the ball goes up to 10 feet & returns to it all due to gravity!!
  • Newton's first law states that every object will "remain at rest or in uniform motion" in a "straight line unless" compelled to change its state by the action of an external force. This is normally taken as the definition of inertia. The second law states that in what way the velocity of an object transforms when it is "subjected to" an external force. The law defines a force to be equal to change in momentum (mass times velocity) per change in time
  • The third law notes that there is an opposite and contrary response to any action (force) of existence. When object A has a force on object B, then object B always applies the same force on object A. Remember that the forces are distributed to different objects. The third rule will describe lifting by wing generation & jet engine power production.
