Step-by-step explanation:

Given:A(4,4), B(6,0),C4,-4),D(2,0)

To find:(i )Plot the points

(ii)Name the figure formed by joining the points A ,B, C and D in order and also find its area

Solution:

(I)Plot the points:

  • Draw x and y-Axis,mark the distance of 1-1cm.
  • Mark points A,B,C and D

(ii)Name the figure formed by joining the points A ,B, C and D in order:

ABCD is a Rhombus.

(iii) Area of Rhombus:

 =  \frac{1}{2}  \times d_1 \times d_2 \:  \:  {unit}^{2}  \\  \\

Length of diagonals can be calculated from graph

AC=8 units

BD=4 units

Area of Rhombus ABCD

 =  \frac{1}{2}  \times 4 \times 8 \\  \\  = 16 \: ( {unit)}^{2}  \\  \\

Hope it helps you.
