as we know that internal bisector of an angle of triangle divides the opposite side internally in the ratio of sides containing the angle .

So this solution is as follow,

Let DC be x

AB/AC = BD/DC

9/6 = BD/DC

3/2 = BD/DC

3/2 = 8-x/x

3x = 2(8-x)

3x = 16 - 2x

3x + 2x = 16

5x = 16

X = 16/5

X = 3.2

So,

DC = 3.2 cm

BD = 4.8 cm

So with the help of this you can fine the lenght of BE .
