i) Prove that if two lines intersect each other, then the pair of vertically opposite angles

are equal.

ii) Prove that the line joining the mid points of the two sides of a triangle is parallel to

the third side and half of it.



iii) ABCD is a quadrilateral, in which P, Q, R and S are the mid-points of sides AB,

BC, CD and AD respectively. Show that PQRS is a parallelogram.



iv) Prove that parallelogram on the same base and between same parallel lines are

equal in area.

v) AB//CD, CD//EF and y:z = 3:7, find x. A x B
