\textbf{\huge{ANSWER:}}

Let the total number of pages be = x

Pages read on 1st day = 3/5 of x

=》 \textbf{3x/5} ..(1)

Remaining pages = x - 3x/5

=》 \textbf{2x/5}

4/5 of 2x/5 = \textbf{8x/25} ..(2)

We still have 27 pages unread. Don't forget that!

Now, add (1) , (2), and 27 altogether.

As they are the number of pages, keep their sum equal to x.

Doing the same:

\textbf{ 3x/5 + 8x/25 + 27 = x}

=》\textbf{8x + 15x + 675 = 25x} (Taken just the LCM)

=》\textbf{ 23x + 675 = 25x}

=》\textbf{675 = 25x - 23x}

=》\textbf{675/2 = x}

=》\textbf{339.5 = x}

Taking it approx, we get:

\textbf{ 340 pages} (approx)

Therefore, (b) is the correct answer.

Hope it Helps!! :)
