Answer:

Let the number of pages be x.

Number of pages read on first day=4x/9

Number of pages read on second day=3(x-4x/9)/5=(3×5x/9)/5=x/3

Number of pages left=100

=>x-(4x/9+x/3)=100

=>9x-4x-3x=100×9

=>2x=100×9

=>x=(100×9)/2

=>x=450______(ans)

Answer:

Step-by-step explanation:

First day -4/9

So remaining part of the book will be : 1-4/9 which is 5/9

The next day he reads 3/5th of the remaning part

that is : 3/5 *5/9

But the remaining part of the book will be again 1-3/5  = 2/5 of the 5/9th remaining part .

==2/9 of the book which is 100 pages

Thus book contains : 100*9/2

==== 450 pages!

Hope this helps !
