I read somewhere that vitamin D gets activated when we sit in sunlight. But, the statement i wrote below is from a website. The skin also takes part in a variety of biochemical synthetic processes, such as vitamin D production under the influence of ultraviolet radiation. This says that skin is producing it in required conditions. Can anyone please clarify what actually happens in it...its a humble request please..

Answer:

when sunlight falls ( Photon particles + uv Rays) on our skin then our skin starts to synthesis Vitamin D, which makes our bones, teeth strong and also prevents many diseases like Rickets. over exposure to uv Rays can damage our skin and may cause to skin cancer.

Melanin determine our skin colour. Vit. D also depends on the intensity of temperature.
