Question

I recently learned that the world's largest peak is not actually mount Everest but a dormant volcano in Hawaii which is 3500 or so meters high. Is this the and if it is give me more info

Mounoliya is larger than Mount Everest but it's totally height from sea bottom is 9170 meter. In this 5000 meter is under the sea level and the rest 4170 meter is above the sea level. So Mounoliya is totally higher than Mount. Everest. But earth's surface heigh measured from the sea level. so mount Everest is largest.
