I see in some equations that electrons itself is written like in Wikipedia when I was reading the rusting of iron, I saw the equation of oxidation of iron where iron loses 2 electrons. Fe->Fe2+ + 2e- This is very new to me, I'm class 10 student and seeing the electron in equation as e is very new. please teach em about it if u know smh

Answer:

Standard electrode potentials of Fe2+ + 2e → Fe and Fe3+ + 3e → Fe are - 0.440V and -0.036V respectively. The standard electrode potential (E°) for Fe3+ + e + Fe2+ is 1) -0.476V 2) -0.404V 3) +0.404V 4) +0.772V.

am a 7th class student just searched it and got the answer I can't understand it I hope u can
