“I shall be telling this with a sigh

Somewhere ages and ages hence;

Two roads diverged in a wood, and I —

I took the one less travelled by,

And that has made all the difference.”

Answer:

The poet says that after a long time, he will be telling the story of the two roads or the two choices he had. There were two paths that separated out in a yellow forest. The poet is a daring person so he chose the road that many people did not travel. The last line means to say that no matter how small the choices are that you take, they ultimately have an impact on your own life. If you take a good decision, then you will be the one benefitting from it and if you take the wrong decision, then it will be your loss. So your choices are the ones that make all the difference.

The name of the poem is 'The Road Not Taken' and the poet is 'Robert Frost'.
