Indirect/Reported speech refers to speech being said to a third person/reporting what happened to a third person.

Example: Celeste said,"I have a dance programme." (Direct)

               Celeste said that she has a dance programme. (Indirect)

In the above example, when writing in indirect/reported form, the sentence changes according to its tense form. Also, modifications regarding certain words like 'this' changes to 'that', 'tonight' changes to 'that night', 'you' changes to 'I', 'tomorrow' changes to 'the next day' and many other words will have to be made.

I shall tell him,"You can not come here again."

I will be telling him that he cannot come there again.
