i) (2x+3)^3

Using formula:

Using formula:(a+b)^3 = a^3 + b^3 + 3ab(a+b)

Here:

a=2x

b=3

(2x+3)^3 = (2x)^3 + 3^3 + 3(2x)(3) [2x+3]

= 8x^3 + 27 + 36x^2 + 54x

= 8x^3 + 36x^2 + 54x + 27

ii) 12x^2–7x+1

By splitting the middle term

-7x = (-4x), (-3x)

= 12x^2 - 4x - 3x + 1

= 4x(3x-1) -1(3x-1)

= (4x-1) (3x-1)

Hope it helps :-)
