I spent 3/5 of my savings and still have Rs. 2000 left. What were my savings?

let the savings amount be Rs. x

 =  > x -  \frac{3}{5} x = 2000 \\  \\  =  >  \frac{2x}{5}  = 2000 \\  \\  =  > 2x = 10000 \\  \\  =  > x = 5000

The savings was Ra. 5000

3/5 x + 2000= x            ( savings + money spent = total money or total savings)

2000= x - 3/5 x

2x = 10000

x= 5000
