ANSWER :-
From the term RMS, i.e ROOT MEAN SQUARE, we know that at first, 1) we have to find the square of the total current , then 2) we have to find the mean of the squared currents and then finally 3) we have to find the square root of the mean. So-
1) Sqaring two currents:- I1^2 and I2^2
2) Finding the mean:- (I1^2+I2^2)÷2
3) Finding square root:- √{(I1^2+I2^2)÷2}
