(i) Take a square shaped paper of edge more than 13cm.
(ii) Cut off a right triangular shape from the paper.
(iii) The right triangle so formed has the sides of length 5 cm, 12 cm and 13 cm.
(iv) Revolve the right triangle about the side 12 cm.

OBSERVATION 1 : Note down the name of the solid so obtained and its dimensions. Then, find the VOLUME (V) of the solid.

(v) Again, revolve the right triangle about the side 5 cm.

OBSERVATION 2 : Note down the name of the solid so obtained now and its dimensions also. Then, find the LATERAL SURFACE AREA (LSA) of the solid.

Now, choose the correct option from below which matches with your result on OBSERVATION 1 and

1. V = 100π cubic cm (OBSERVATION 1) and LSA = 65π square cm (OBSERVATION 2)

2. V = 240π cubic cm (OBSERVATION 1) and LSA = 65π square cm (OBSERVATION 2)

3. V = 100π cubic cm (OBSERVATION 1) and LSA = 156π square cm (OBSERVATION 2)

4. V = 240π cubic cm (OBSERVATION 1) and LSA = 156π square cm (OBSERVATION 2)
