Example :- I write a letter.

Explanation :- Here the subject 'I' do the work of writing ---- the verb 'write' is in the active voice.

• Passive voice means that a subject is a recipient of a verb's action.

Example :- A letter is written by me.

Explanation :- Here the subject 'I' do not do the 'writing' but receive the result of writing ---- 'is written' is in the passive voice.
