As ABCD is a kite adjacent sides are equal then AD = AB and CD = CB.

(a) As adjacent sides are same angles are same.

Proof :

AD = AB then anADE = anAEB

similarly anEDC = anBEC

(b) By SAS we can prove triangles as congruent and ED = EB
