Correct answer are (a + b)= 50,

a = 31 and b = 19

Explanation:

Let, two numbers are a  and b

Given that,

a - b = 12…….(i)

a^{2} - b^{2} = 600

We know that, a^{2} - b^{2} = (a - b)(a + b)

 (a - b)(a + b)= 600

 (a + b) = \frac{600}{12}

 (a + b)= 50…………..(ii)

On adding equation (i) and (ii), we get

2a = 62

a = 31

Now put the value in (ii),

b = 50 - 31 = 19.
