Answer:

area- l×b = 20×9=180cm^2 which is equal to 180/10=18 dcm^2

Step-by-step explanation:

Now area of one tiles is equal to 3×3=9dcm^2

So tiles needed is 18/9= 2 square tiles

Answer:

It's really simple. Do it in the following manner.

Step-by-step explanation:

1.) First make the units same for all the no.s.

So, 20m = 2000cm

9m = 900cm

and, 3dcm = 30cm

2.) Now calculate the area of the rectangle

area = l x b

= (2000cm x 900cm)

= 1800000cm²

3.) Calculate area of a single square tile

area = (side)²

= (30cm)²

= 900cm²

4.) Finally divide the area of rectangle by the area of a single tile which will give the required no. of tiles needed to floor the hall

1800000cm² / 900cm²

= 2000

Hence 2000 tiles will be required.
