Answer:

● Least Pressure = 400 mL [C]

● After that comes 200 mL [A]

● Then comes 40 mL [D]

● Finally Maximum Pressure = 40 mL [B]

Here we use the concept Pressure is equal to the Force applied by the area

P ∝ F & P ∝ 1/A

So the 400 mL jar [C] may have more Force but the area was soo big and hence would have the least pressure

Then as the area is reduced the pressure increases and that's why the next comes the 200 ml [A] jar and then the 40 mL [D] and finally the same 40 mL [B] jar

The B jar has more pressure than the D jar because we see that the area that the jar has is much lesser than the are that the D jar has. So as the area is reduced the Pressure is increased

A d that's why we similarly sharpen a knife so that when the force is applied it gets applied on a smaller area and hence greater pressure
