Answer:

pressure at the bottom of the tank = density of liquid *height *acc. due to gravity

pressure at the bottom of the tank = density of liquid *height *acc. due to gravity=2*80*10(roughly)

=1600nper m^2

Explanation:

Solution :-

Given :-

h = 2 m

Density of oil, ρ(o) = 0.80 g/cc

= 0.80 × 10³ kg/m³

Density of water, ρ(w) = 10³ kg/m³

Mean density, say ρ = ρ(o) + ρ(w)/2

= 0.80 × 10³ + 1 × 10³/2

= 0.90 × 10³ kg/m³

Therefore, Pressure at the bottom,

P = hρg

P = 2 × 0.90 × 10³ × 10

P = 1.80 × 10⁴ Nm⁻²

Hence, the pressure at the bottom of tank due to these liquids is 1.80 × 10⁴ Nm⁻².
