One large egg contains 6.3 grams of protein. The protein is almost equally split between the egg white and the egg yolk. The white contains 3.5 grams of protein while the yolk contains 2.8 grams. The protein in an egg contains all the essential amino acids used for growth and development

The nutritive value of the egg depends upon how the company is producing it. But, a normal average egg? Yes I will tell you.
• The Energy present in the egg is about 162 kilocalories per 100 grams. About 85 kilocalorie per egg.
• The protein present in one egg is about 12.93%.
• Lipid (which is mostly contained in the yolk of the egg) is about 11.52% in the total amount for yolk.
• Carbohydrates approximates around 0.21% - 0.73%.
• All Minerals such as Phosphorous, iron and calcium are available in a good quantity.
• Almost all the Vitamins A, D, E, thiamine, riboflavin, pantothenic acid, pyridoxine, biotin, folic acid, niacin are present which are good to fight the deficient cause of it.
In all the egg is nutritious as well as health in nature including the brown egg which are 10 times more than a normal egg (in both terms of quality and quantity). So, an egg a day, keeps the doctor away (including me....).
