Even if the people of these states wanted to part from the country, they could not, because if they did, they would have a major economic crisis. This is because most of the trading takes place within the country and the major international exports are handled by the central government, and when the will no longer be part of the country, no one would be there to trade with them. Even if they manage to uphold their economy, the state government is also part of the government of the country, so they would have to overthrow the state government to truly not be part of the country, which would be near impossible. Even if they do manage to overthrow the government, there would no longer be anybody to handle the criminals or the government facilities such as the hospitals or the courts, resulting in the state being swept by crime and death. Also since they are no longer part of the country, they will no longer have any citizenship, which also take away all the perks that come with it. And even the manage to remain stable for about a month, the place would be swept by the army and the police and every single person would be captured or forced to be on the run since the territory still belongs to the country. Some people might resist, and this would also lead to some deaths. In the end the people would not be free from the country and they would also have ruined their lives, while some would also lose theirs.
