ao=10cm
suppose point p is on chord ab is perpendicular
op=5cm
hence triangle opa formed
by using pythagoras theorem
oa^2=op^2+ap^2
(10)^2=25+ap2^2
100-25=ap^2
75=ap^2
taking square root
underroot75=ap
25*3=ap
5 underroot 3=ap
but ab=2ap(perpendicular drawn from centre to bisect the chord
hence ab=2ap
=2*5underroot 3
ab=10 underoot 3cm
but underroot 3=1.73 appro.
so =10*1.73
ab=17.3cm
