Answer:
Relationship between g and G :-
Consider a body of mass ( m ) is on the earth surface , mass of the earth ( M ) and the distance between body and mass is R
Therefore according to universal law
F = GMm / R² ===> Eqn 1
From Newton's second law
F = ma = mg ===> Eqn 2 [ due to gravity ]
from eqn 1 and 2
mg = GMm / R²
[ Cancel " m " on both sides ]
g = GM / R²
Here ,
g = acceleration due to gravity
G = gravitational constant

Answer:
Relationship between g and G :-
- Consider a body of mass "m" on the earth .
- Let "R" be the radius of the earth and "m" be the mass of the earth .
- Force acting on the body of mass "m" due to gravitational pull of the earth is F = mg ===> eqn 1
- According to Newton's gravitational law , force on the body of mass "m" is F = GMm / R² ===> eqn 2
- From eq's (1) and (2) , we have
- mg = GMm / R²
- Here "m" gets cancel
- ===> g = GM / R²
