The speed of the aeroplane B can be specially named as Transonic Speed

Explanation:

  • Normally the airplanes speed are measured in Mach number like we use meter per second to measure the speed of normal vehicles.
  • Depending upon the mach number or the speed of an airplane in meter per second the speed is classified as either subsonic, transonic, supersonic or hypersonic .
  • Whereas one mach is equals to 343 meters per second.
  • If we want the speed in mach we have to divide the speed value which is in meter per second by 343.
  • If we want in meter per second then multiply the mach number with 343.

343 meter per second = 1 Mach

350 meter per second = 1.020 Mach

If the mach number is 0.8 - 1.3  or the speed of an airplane is 273 - 409 m/s  then the airplane is in transonic speed.

The airplane B is moving at a speed of 350 meter per second which lies between 273 meter per second to 409 meter per second so the speed of the airplane B can be specially named as Transonic speed
