I) Use each of the given numbers to fill the slots: 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 and 6

II) Take 9 from 6, 10 from 9, 50 from 40 and leaves 6. ( Hint: think another way of writing the numbers. )

Answer:

"Using the same argument we can fill up the Units digit in 4 ways. Hence we can form (6)(5)(4) = 120 numbers of three digits using the digits 1,2,3,4,5,6 without repetition."

Answer:

1) Think of it as filling out three slots _ _ _ with numbers from 1 through 6. The first slot can be filled by any of the six digits (it doesn’t really have to be the first slot as your starting point, you can start at any slot, but let’s just start at the first for simplicity). Then the next slot cannot have the digit chosen in the first step. So, there are only 5 ways to fill in the second slot. The third slot then is left with only 4 possible choices. So, the number of three digit numbers formed by digits 1,2,3,4,5,6 with no repetitions is 6⋅5⋅4=120

The answer to the second part is the image that I attached. Please mark me as brainliest.
