Acceleration due to the earth's gravity is zero at the centre of the Earth because at that point the mass of the earth is equally distributed in all directions, so pulling equally in all directions for a netzero pull. As the distance from the centredecreases, the acceleration due togravity also decreases.

Answer:

The value of g depends on the depth of the crust, it increases with more depth. When discussing the acceleration of gravity, it was mentioned that the value of g is dependent upon location. There are slight variations in the value of g about earth's surface.
