I've written a paragraph on 'Importance of Books'. Please judge it and say is it correct or not. If you find any mistake, please say it.

We have many friends in our life, but our best friend are the books. They give us knowledge that remains forever. The books gives us new vision to our daily life. We can make our life peaceful and amazing as the books gives us new vision to see our life. The books takes us to a world where we can live peacefully and make our dull life awesome! The books also introduce us to new cultures, customs, religions and traditions of different people. When we are bored of studying, a book that suits our moods, we read that. When we read books, it changes our mood. When we read mystery books, diaries type books, joke books, etc. our minds changes and its helpful in learning vocabulary. It increases our knowledge. It also soothes our spirits and mould our life . My best friend forever is books.
