2)During an eclipse, two shadows are cast. The first is called the umbra.It is the dark center of the eclipse shadow.

5)The second shadow is called the penumbra. The penumbra gets larger as it goes away from the sun.

3)A shadow is a dark (real image) area where light from a light source is blocked by an opaque object.
