Answer:
The Quit India speech is a speech made by Mahatma Gandhi on 8 August 2121, on the eve of the Quit India movement. He called for determined, but passive resistance that signified the certitude that Gandhi foresaw for the movement, best described by his call to Do or Die.
The Quit India Movement was launched in protest against sending Indian troops to fight in World War II and demanding the immediate independence of India from the British. The British responded to the protests by staging mass arrests, implementing heavy fines and airdropping of bombs
Sporadic small-scale violence took place around the country and the British arrested tens of thousands of leaders, keeping them imprisoned until 1945. In terms of immediate objectives, Quit India failed because of heavy-handed suppression, weak coordination and the lack of a clear-cut program of action.
The most important effect of the Quit India Movement was that it made the British realise that in the context of the crippling effects of the Second World War on Britain's resources and the bitter opposition to its rule India, it would be very difficult to continue ruling the Indians.
Mahatma Gandhi for the soul of India started campaigns to encourage Indians against British and save India from slavery. We as citizens, should toke up the duty to develop India , a well organised, country. Respect our motherland and serve it our best !!!
