Digital India was started by our prime minister Mr Narendra Modi on 2 July 2015 under the motto "Power To Empower" This was introduced in order to make most of the things online and it also made many transactions very easily , it has also aimed to provide internet facility to all the villages in India so that even they can make the best use of internet because of digital india programme there will very good development in the field of internet connectivity and it also makes the country digitally empowered.This project was projected at Rs 1,13,000 crores
Digital India consists of three core components. They are
1)Development of secure and stable Digital Infrastructure
2)Delivering government services digitally
3)Universal Digital Literacy
Digital India has helped people to get the government services online and also they can post their complaints online to the government , our PM has made many apps for these things like swatch bharat apetc it has helped people to get their roads repaired , get their job done easily and even faster,Digital India offers many services like digilocker etc where people can store their important data , information securely , this idea was supported by many companies like google , microsoft , facebook etc and they are also helping us in making our country digital , they are providing wifi to remotes places in villages with the help of drone etc and this has helped India by generating jobs , reducing the cost of import for all the necessary equipments.Digital Technologies include Cloud Computing and Mobile Applications which has emerged as main reason for the rapid economic growth and citizen empowerment all over the world and this will happen in India too in the future withe the help of digital india
Digital India will change the face of many states for example Himachal Pradesh where many basic things such as health care system, education, online business and even the vidhan sabha of the state has been changed a lot.Due to digital India people who do online banking has also increased to a very large extent
Digital India has the mission of making India digitally empowered and literate and all the services will be given online which made people to get information easily and in all languages , it wants all the services be available to its citizens digitally which will make our country empowered and more developed economy

Good morning friends,teachers, director and principal. Today, I'm going to give my speech on digital India. So, To make India more digital and more technological, government of India launched the "Digital India Campaign" under the motto "Power to empower".The main motive of this campaign is to provide and ensure the high speed internet and electronically things to every citizen of India. This campaign was launched in the year 2015 by Prime minister of India Narenda Modi at Delhi.
The main aim of this digital India campaign is to provide high speed internet to every citizen of India, Improving online infrastructure, to provide a digital ID to every citizen, providing the availability of integrated services and departments to every citizen. To make India more digitized, government of India have created free Wi-Fi zones at public places like Metro, Railways and Airports.
Government of India ensure to have all transactions and payments online and digitized by the year 2023. Government has launched the digital locker to provide a connection between government and common people. Through this, People can send and receive e-documents, e-tendering's and many more other digital activities.
Digital India is a new motive of Indian government to make India digitized and powerful knowledge economy country. Today, there are various Villages which still don't have availability of internet, Government motives to provide high speed internet to all of these citizens. Recently, in 2019, Government also launched the new program in digital India called as "National Broadband" which is the project of 7 Billion INR. This project Aims to provide high speed internet to every village and town. Digital India program is to be coordinated by organisation called as DEITY.
Digital India is today one of the most successful campaign started by Indian Government. As this world is becoming digital and electronically day by day, Government of India is trying to make india more technological and more digital. The Internet service providers of India like Jio, Airtel, idea, vodafone, BSNL was communicated by government to low down the prices of their internet plans. Jio successfully done it's work. And, in 2016, the internet users in India was increased by 5 Million, 10 Million in 2017, 15 Million and 23 Million in 2018 and 2019 respectively.
As the number of smartphone and internet users in India are increasing day by day, then it is a clear sign that, The project "Digital India'' is a successful campaign by indian government.
The three main visions of Digital India Campaign are:
i) Digital infrastructure
ii) On-demand operations and services
iii) Digital empowerment of citizens.
i) Digital infrastructure:
Providing high speed internet, Major use to online services to every citizen, creating a digital ID of every person, Mobile phone and banking making online and digitally.
ii) On demand operations and services
If common people will request government for any particular service which is not available in our country, but provided in other countries, then government will do on demand services. Citizens should be able to use all cloud apps and services for online data storage.
iii) Digital empowerment of citizens
This includes universal digital literacy, universal digital resources, services in Indian languages.
Indian Talent (IT) + Information Technology (IT) = India of tomorrow (IT).
