Educating is the Key to Women Empowerment

Good morning everyone present. I am going to express my views on 'Educating is the Key to Women Empowerment'. There is a very famous saying in Africa which says, 'If you educate a man, you educate an individual, but if you educate a woman, you educate a woman.' In the light of the above mentioned axiom, empowering the women with education is the best and the wisest option a nation could have in empowering itself. In the big vast world of ours, many nations in African, Asian, and South American continents are still grappling with the problems of backwardness. Hunger, poverty, unemployment, poor standards of living, poor medical facilities, poor education, etc, are still lingering on in the developing countries.

Empowering women with education is the only panacea. An educated woman will have the power to make her dreams come true. Only an educated woman can earn her own living and free in true sense. With her education, not only she will be benefited, she will spread the light of education all around her. She will teach her brothers, sisters, neighbors, and other adults; this will lead to a positive ripple effect that will lead to skill enhancement and the prospects of being hired by competent companies will increase. Besides, an educated woman ensures the surety of education of the other family members. Besides, educating a woman is the best investment. By educating woman the family is making a sound financial investment. When a woman is educated, she will reduce the financial burden of her father and later her husband.

India is a fast developing country. The goal of complete advancement is not possible until each and every Indian becomes not only highly educated but also highly skilled. This task can only be accomplished with the women’s education and contributions. So, empowering women with education is the best investment a nation can make!

Education is a discipline that is concerned with methods of teaching and learning in schools or school-like environments as opposed to various nonformal and informal means of socialization.

Education is one of the most basic as well as a vital requirement for feminism. If a person is illiterate but still calls him/ her a feminist, there can be chances that they in reality turn out to be pseudo-feminist.

Pseudo-feminism suggests that women deserve more respect, or people of other sexes do not deserve respect.

It will only be an educated person who will be able to discriminate between feminism and pseudo-feminism.

Also, many uneducated people are unaware of the term feminism because of this, they become victims of domestic violence, molestation, discrimination, etc. So, in order to understand and correctly understand the meaning of feminism, education is a must.
