The land pollution is very big problem and are caused by solid wastes and chemicals. One of the major pollution problems of large cities is disposal of solid waste material including animal manure,agricultural wastes, industrial wastes such as chemicals, ash  which are combustion of solid fuels, garbage, paper, cardboard, plastics, rubber, cloth, leather, brick, metal and glass resulting from buildings, dead animals like cats, dogs,   containers, discarded manufactured products such as old refrigera­tors, washing machines.

Land pollution is a very big threat to our environment. When a land gets polluted then it becomes barren and then cultivation of crops is no longer possible on that. Major ways in which land gets polluted are, when people throw all the garbage on the soil, including plasric articles which are non biodegradable. Another way is when farmers do an excessive use of chemical pests and fertilizers. This makes the soil lose its fertility.
