"Education makes the ppl easy to lead ,but difficult to drive,easy to govern but impossible to enslave"said lord brougham.this is entirely true for without education a man is a shade better than an animal...just as it is difficult to lead a flock of sheep u can at best herd them around. similarly without education man also behaves like a flock of sheep that can only be herd.after all y education is important for us?this can only be understood if we knw what education stands for.the word education is derived from the latin word meaning- to draw out- thus true education is the drawing out of mental facilities that are so essential for leading a happy life.the abysmally low level of education is among low people and the downtrodden, makes them vulnerable to economic and political exploitation.though adequate provision had been made in the constitution to ensure their empowerment and participation.at the ground level it seems the fruit of this,have not percolated dwn to them.the pain culprit for being lack of education,which deprives them of their power to claim right.nt only r they economically expoited by the landlords n traders,but politically they fall easy to prey to the mechanism of the crafty politicans.their so called messiah treat them as vote banks,for garnering power and clout for themselves,leaving them worse off.the education of the masses would awaken their minds to the wonders and mystries of the universe.this would free them from doubts supertisions and remove many social eveil that r plaguging the society.in short it would make them civilized clutured n cultured and humane citizens of a proud country...This would auger well for the country,as it would strengthen democracy.the ppl would in the true sense be able to elect their leaders.they would be able to appreciate national problems,thus strengthen hands of the government,rather than be misguided by vested and selffish sectarian interest...education is the need of the hour if we have to safeguard our independenc.we just have been witness to how a few thousand emglishmen had ruled over this country for over 200yrs,for want of an educated population.we shld nt allow this to happen again.tgis can only be ensured by imparting proper education to the masses,so tht they exercise their franchise without fear or favour.this wuld ineed make them master of their destiny
