There is a famous saying, “IT TAKES HANDS TO BUILD A HOUSE, BUT ONLY HEARTS CAN BUILD A HOME.” House can be any building constructed with the purpose of providing inhabitation to man and his family. So, house is just a lifeless building made up of brick, mortar, furniture, ceiling, walls, doors, windows, and flooring. A house remains a mere house until loving men and women start inhabiting it. a house becomes home with the echoes of children’s laughter and cries reverberating in the rooms and corridors. When the cooking aroma is wafted to the neighboring dwellers living around the house, it is a sure sign that the house has been converted into a home.
When the house is being cleaned daily by the dedicated mother; when the hard working father returns from his office to the waiting wife and expecting children; when all the life activities impelled by love and affection are carried unceasingly inside a house by living inhabitants, the house becomes home. The houses just remain empty. The dust settles everyday on walls, floor and the kitchen shelves without being cleaned for days. In simple words house is just a building without families, and home is a building where loving, caring, and happy families of human being live for each other.
