- Good evening teachers, Principal and my dear friends-Our ecology is crumbling under the weight of civilization- Our concerted efforts are required to change the situation.-Unfortunately, most of the damages done to environment stem from ignorance of people.-Many of us do not realise the extent of the damage done.-In such situations, awareness has to be created.- Ecotourism is the need of the hour.-Changes the way we look at the world around us.-It sensitizes people to ecological problems-Though it stems out of a good intent, it also hasdemerits.-Ecotourism under criticism for various reasons including unintentionally causing harming ecologically sensitive areas.-Studies should be encouraged to help build ecotourism from the bottom up.- Constant improvements are possible if funded research is conducted.-Newer areas that are ecologically fragile shouldbe discovered.-The quality of the locals’ lives is compromised when there is a flurry of tourist activities.- In order to circumvent all these problems, research and studies are required.- Therefore for the betterment of our environment, funded research should be conducted for the development of ecotourism.-(Thank the audience)
