great men are born once in a thousand years Gandhi was such a great man his full name is mohandas karma chand Gandhi  he was born on October 2 1869 at porubander his father was the diwan of rajkot he began his early education in his home town he went to England for higher education he went to south Africa there he fought for the rights  of his country men his weapons were truth and non voilence he struggled for the independence of india he went to jail many times he led a simple life he wore very simple clothes he used to were khadi his food was very simple he fought was very simple he fought against untouchability he sacrificed every thing for the nation he was killed on january 30 1948 we owe a lot to mahatma gandhi..
