6) The sum of two rational no. is -7/13. One number is -5/39

Let the another no.be x, then

⇒x+(-5/39) = -7/13

⇒x=-7/13-(-5/39)

⇒x = -7/13 +5/39  ( On taking the LCM)

⇒ x = (-21 +5)/39

⇒x = (-17)/39    (Answer)

7) Let the number to be added be x

=>{-3/5+(-5/3)} +x = 1

=> (-3/5-5/3) +x =1

=> x =1-(-3/5-5/3)

=> x = 1+3/5+/3  (Now we will take LCM of 1 , 3 and 5 that is 15)

=>x = (15+9+25)/15

=> x = 49/15    (Answer)

8) Let the unknown number to be subtracted from -2/5 be x

⇒-2/5 - x = 11/35

⇒ -x = 11/35 +2/5   ( now we will take the lcm of 5 and 35 which is 35)

⇒ -x = (11 +14)/35

⇒-x = 25 / 35

⇒ -x = 5/7

⇒x = -5/7
