as,given parallel lines so there is transversal..
y=59°(alternate interior angle.)

Then,
59°+60°=y+x(exterior,angle property of triangle)
119°=59°+x
119°-59°=x
60°=x

thus answer is x=60° and y=59°...

Hey !!



We know that, sum of angles of a ∆ is always equal to 180° .


So ,


/_ CAB + /_ CBA + /_ ACB = 180°


59° + 60° + /_ ACB = 180°



/_ ACB + 119° = 180°


/_ ACB = 180° - 119°


/_ ACB = 61°

And,


Y = 59° [ Alternate interior angle ]






/_ ACB + Y° + X° = 180° [ Linear pair ]





61° + 59° + X° = 180



X° + 120° = 180°



X = 180° - 120°


X = 60°

Hence,

X = 60° and Y = 59°
