the given equation is : 3x + 5 = 15

now we will put x=0 in it , so we will get y=3

and when we will put y=0, in it , we get x=5

so, after constructing our graph we noticed that the point on x axis is P , whose length is 3 units

and , similarly we also noticed that the point on y axis is Q and its length is 5 units.

so POQ is our right angled triangle. in which PO = 3 units and OQ = 5 units.

on applying Pythagoras theorem to this triangle we get... root 34 units as our answer.

Answer : root 34 units
