no. of tickets of Rs. 100 = x +40

According to the question,

100(x+40) + 50x = 37000

100x +4000 +50x = 37000

150x = 37000 -4000

150x = 33000

15x = 3300

x = 220

Thus, no. of tickets of Rs. 50 is 220.
