- The word 'Himadri' means peak of snow. The Mt. Everest which is 6000 m high comes under the nothernmost part called Greater himalayas and is covered with snow the whole year. So it is also known as the Himadri.
- A dune is a landform, and is a large mass of wind-blown sand. Dunes are most common in deserted environments. In physical geography, a dune is a hill of loose sand built by aeolian processes or the flow of water. EX: Great Dune of Pyla, Dune 7: Namib Desert.
