Great Himalayas are also known as himadri because these Himalayas are covered with snow throughout the year.It is the northernmost range known as inner greater Himalayan and Himadri.

2) Dunes refers to the sand hills usually formed by winds.For eg-dome dune,star dune etc.

3) The Rajasthan Plains, the Punjab Haryana Plains, the Upper Ganga plains and the lower Ganga plains. These are the famous northern plains divided on the basis of relief.

  1. The word 'Himadri' means peak of snow. The Mt. Everest which is 6000 m high comes under the nothernmost part called Greater himalayas and is covered with snow the whole year. So it is also known as the Himadri.
  2. A dune is a landform, and is a large mass of wind-blown sand. Dunes are most common in deserted environments. In physical geography, a dune is a hill of loose sand built by aeolian processes or the flow of water. EX: Great Dune of Pyla, Dune 7: Namib Desert.
  3. Based on the relief features; the northern plain can be divided into four regions:

Bhabar, Terai, Bhangar and Khadar.
