Answer :-

Endoenzymes :-

The enzymes which are functional in nature and remain within the cells of the body of the organism, are known as "Endoenzymes".

  • Endoenzymes are also known as as "Metabolic enzymes".

  • Eg - Enzymes of Glycolysis and Enzymes of Krebs' cycle.

Exoenzymes :-

The enzymes which are liberated outside the cell, which catalyse the vital reactions in the environment of the cell, are known as "Exoenzymes".

  • Exoenzymes are also known as "Digestive enzymes".

  • Eg - Enzymes of extra-cellular digestion.

Extra Information :-

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
  • Metabolic and Catabolic enzymes are present inside the Mitochondria of the cells.
  • The respiratory enzymes are localised in the Mitochondria.
  • Of the total amount of enzymes present in a cell, mitochondria account for about 70% of the total amount.
  • In a cell, digestive enzymes occur mostly in "Lysosomes".
