Answer:

The direction of angular velocity of a particle in circular motion is determined by the right hand curl rule. As in case of finding the direction of magnetic field in case of a current carrying loop.

The same goes here.

Assume that the particle is moving in a clockwise fashion. So by right hand curl rule, we will place our hand in such a way that the fingers curl along the direction of the particle motion. And the direction in which the thumb will be pointing will give the direction of the angular velocity.

And in case you want to find the instantaneous direction of the angular velocity.

Simply fund the direction of the cross multiply of the radius vector and the velocity vector.

W= r × v..................(1)
